For some reason, all I can write lately is fanfic, but at least I’m writing something, eh?
Uh, driving home tonight, someone was driving down the hill that goes up to my house. Uh, the hill up to my house is a one way, two-lane street. Apparently, some drunk asshole decided to drive down it, though. Seriously. ARGH. Not cool.
You know what is incredibly awesome and wonderful, though? My bff Pete drew me. And this is incredibly flattering, because he’s the best artist I know or will ever know, plus I love him, so it’s doubly sweet. It’s here. Thank you, darling. I love it so. (It’s from
& Okay, one last thing. If you’re familiar with The Lawrence Welk Show, you know how hilariously bland and cheesy it was and how they would often take pop music of the time and make it as bland and boring as humanly possible, taking all rhythm or beat or anything fun out of it, and have really bland, Stepford-y/Village of the Damned young people sing it. It’s fucking hilarious. My grandparents used to have my cousins & I watch it, considering it to be “wholesome entertainment,” and I didn’t even realize until I was older that the episodes we were then watching were already 20 or 30 years old. Heh. Also, when we took a high school fieldtrip to a monastery in Montana, it was the only thing we were allowed to watch on the little t.v. in the basement. & Now, on Saturday nights, when it’s re-run on PBS, Mike & I & sometimes Dan always watch it & laugh our asses off. Tonight was an episode from the mid-’70s, I’d say, and it was this “concept show” where it was supposed to be taking place on a cruise ship. This involved bad cheesy early green screen technology projecting waves and stuff behind the singers. OMG, it was hilarious.
Thanks for reading :) more soon. xo
